This is my story of how I went from designing high end clothing to designing Tracheostomy accessories.

22 years ago my daughter was born with a rare congenital disorder that required her to have an emergency tracheostomy hours after she was born. When she was about 3 years old I decided to go back to school and finish my bachelor's degree in fashion design as a mental escape from our daily medical mindset. I have always been a creative person so it served me well through some of the  early years.

However, over the years of caring for my daughter I came to realized how she and others like her were incredibly under served. So I started to refocus my energy on her by designing products that helped camouflage her trach and make it more aesthetically pleasing. I immediately saw an increase in her self-esteem and happiness. After seeing the difference it made for her I decided to start a product line for the entire tracheostomy community so they too could express their individuality and they too could feel more confident.

Below you can see the clothing lines I designed and the awards I've won while attending college. I hope you will see the extreme attention to detail that I have in everything I design. You will also see how I transitioned from fashion design to tracheostomy accessories and how I still maintain my extreme attention to detail within all of the products I design via the website. I currently hold a U.S. Patent on my trach ties as well as a Patent pending for my HME covers.

It is with great joy that I serve this incredibly strong and amazing community who are most often misunderstood. Tracheostomies are not the negative ads you see on TV. They save the lives of 10's of thousands of babies every year who would other wise not be here, as well as adult who have never smoked a cigarette in their life.
